Knock, Knock..Who's there?Another fine contribution from the Hasten Corporation.

Review Coming Soon....

LostHighway9 contributor Mr.Hasten informed of this movie almost a year ago, but your's truly has been so busy watching Japanese film and playing XBox 360, that I just got around to watching this gem.Bill Macy turns in an award winning performance as your everyday WhiteMan, who one day decides to throw all the comforts that life has afforded him to live a life that he has repressed for 47 years. The results are disastrous as you can imagine.
This is based on a play by David Mamet.I give it 4 stars.

LostHighway9 fans looking for Hip Hop are in luck tonight...a double blast! First up...Redman.

Saturday Night...you want QUALITY Hip Hop, you say....OK..turn up your speakers for a double blast.Batting clean up is Pharohe Monch with "Simon Says"!

Get the fuck up!
Simon Says get the fuck up!
Throw your hands in the sky (BO! BO! BO! BO!)
Queens is in the back sippin yak y'all what's up?
Girls, rub on your titties (yeahhhhhh)
Yeah I said it -- rub on your titties
New York city gritty committee pity the fool that
act shitty in the midst of the calm, the witty

Y'all know the name
Pharoahe-fuckin-Monch, ain't a damn thang changed
You all up in the Range, then your shit's inebriated
Phased from your original plan, you deviated
I alleviated the pain, with a long-term goal
Took my underground loot, without the gold
You sold platinum round the world, I sold wood in the hood
But when I'm in the street, then shit it's all good
I'm soon to motivate the room, control the game like Tomb Raider
Roc-clock dollars flip, tips like a waiter
Style's greater, let my lyrics annoint
If you holdin up the wall, then you missin the point

Here Is Ministry, from 1987 with"Everyday Is Halloween".Quite possibly one of the best industrial cuts of all time....

well i live with snakes and lizards
and other things that go bump in the
night cos to me everyday is halloween
i have given up hiding and started to fight
i have started to fight well any time,
any place, anywhere that i go all the
people seem to stop and stare they say

'why are you dressed like it's halloween?
you look so absurd, you look so obscene'
o, why can't i live a life for me?
why should i take the abuse that's served?
why can't they see they're just like me it's
the same, it's the same in the whole wide world

well i let their teeny minds think that they're
dealing with someone who is over the brink and
i dress this way just to keep them at bay
cos halloween is everyday it's everyday o,

why can't i live a life for me?
why should i take the abuse that's served?
why can't they see they're just like me it's
the same, it's the same in the whole wide world
o, why can't i live a life for me? why should i
take the abuse that's served? why can't they see
they're just like me i'm not the one that's so
absurd why hide it?

why fight it? hurt feelings best to stop feeling
hurt from denials, reprisals it's the same it's the
same in the whole wide world

Hi-Five lead singer Tony Thompson was found dead yesterday (June 1) in his hometown of Waco, Texas.

Sources told AllHipHop.com that Thompson's body was found outside of an apartment complex around 10:00 pm.

He allegedly died of drug overdose, but the cause of death has to be confirmed.

Thompson and Hi-Five hit #1 with 1990's "I Like The Way (The Kissing Game)," which was produced by R&B/Hip-Hop producer Teddy Riley and taken from the group's debut, Hi-Five.

The album also produced singles like "I Can't Wait Another Minute" and "I Just Can't Handle It."

Hi-Five broke up around 1994 but reunited and released a new album The Return in 2006 on Thompson's record label N'Depth.

Thompson also collaborated with Port Arthur, Texas rapper Bun-B on his 2006 single "Rock Ya Body," which was produced by Play-N-Skillz.

Thompson, was working on new material for an upcoming album as well.

Now, before I get a big "What The Fuck????", check it out.The Highwaymen not only shares a namesake with your favorite blog...but if you listen the lyrics, they are about reincarnation and outer space...two subjects that are of interest to your LostHighway9 chief.Only two members of the group are still alive....but they will be around again, and again....

I was a highwayman. Along the coach roads I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive.

I was a sailor. I was born upon the tide
And with the sea I did abide.
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico
I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow
And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
But I am living still.

I was a dam builder across the river deep and wide
Where steel and water did collide
A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado
I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below
They buried me in that great tomb that knows no sound
But I am still around..I'll always be around..and around and around and
around and around

I fly a starship across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
And I'll be back again, and again and again and again and again..

This is my all time favorite funky breaks cut...Here's Mickey Finn with"She's Breaking Up(Bionic Man)".My old friend DJ Norm used to play this at Sound Factory, and the crowd would go apeshit.

Here is "Mr.Kirk", by 4Hero...an homage to Captain James T. Kirk..this shit still bumps even today....

Hero!

Readers may be shocked...but the LostHighway9 crew really used to rock the hair like this.

I know he had bigger hits...But TTD really came through for me with this one.I stole these lyrics and wrote them as a little note to this chick back in 199...something,and it worked pretty well.So that was the only time your LostHighway9 chief could be accused of plagerism.

Jane Wiedland from the Go Gos had a cool little side project with Sparks...Here is "Cool Places".Our younger readers may recognize the dance they are doing as "The Carlton".

Tonight, I bring you a double shot of one of the greatest art school drop out bands ever...The Talking Heads. This clip is only a glimpse of what was to come...The Tom Tom Club.We will go into that tomorrow, but for now enjoy David Byrne's performance in "Once In A LifeTime".

Ok..Here is where the Heads REALLY get down.Big Suit....check. Killer bassline....check. Weird, Lynch inspired lyrics...check.Here is "Girlfriend Is Better" from the DVD "Stop Making Sense".
