A rep for Scary Spice aka Melanie Brown has confirmed that a DNA test shows Eddie Murphy is officially the father of her 2-month-old daughter. A source close to Brown says, "He's the baby's father, it's official. The baby is undoubtedly, 110 percent his. There was no doubt in people's minds anyways, least of all hers. It wasn't a surprise to her. She knew all along."
Well sucks for Eddie. Not only does he officially have a daughter he doesn't want, but the entire world now knows he had sex with this thing. Pictures could surface of him making out with a horse and it'd be less shameful.
Manhunt 2' video game release suspended
Updated Fri. Jun. 22 2007 9:03 AM ET
Associated Press THIS SUCKS, I WAS REALLY GOING TO BUY THIS..... Players of the video game "Manhunt 2" would have assumed the role of a scientist with amnesia who escapes from an asylum and then goes on a bloody killing spree as he tries to remember his past. But consumers may never see it on store shelves.
Following bans by Britain and Ireland, as well as a ratings predicament that would have made it nearly impossible to buy in the United States, publisher Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. decided that it might already be game over for "Manhunt 2."
In a short statement Thursday evening, the New York-based company said it was temporarily suspending plans to distribute the game while it reviews its options.
"We continue to stand behind this extraordinary game. We believe in freedom of creative expression, as well as responsible marketing, both of which are essential to our business of making great entertainment," the company said.
"Manhunt 2" had been scheduled for a July 10 release in the United States on both the Wii by Nintendo Co. and the PlayStation 2 from Sony Corp.
But earlier in the week, Britain banned the game because of the violent content. Ireland followed suit a day later, and then Italian Communications Minister Paolo Gentiloni said Thursday that he would seek to have the sale of the game canceled there as well.
In a statement, Gentiloni called the game "cruel and sadistic, with a squalid environment and a continuous, insistent encouragement to violence and murder."
In the United States, meanwhile, the video game industry's self-regulated ratings board gave a preliminary version of "Manhunt 2" an "adults only" rating instead of the more lenient, and far more popular, "mature" rating for ages 17 and up.
Slapping "Manhunt 2" with the Entertainment Software Rating Board's most stringent rating would likely doom sales. Large retailers including Best Buy Co., Target Corp. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. won't stock AO-rated games.
Rockstar was given 30 days after receiving the ESRB's suggested rating to present an appeal or make changes to the game.
A spokesman for Rockstar declined to comment on Thursday's suspension, which was announced hours after Take-Two issued a statement saying it was determined to bring the title to market regardless of criticism.
Another issue had to do with the console makers: Nintendo and Sony disclosed they have policies barring any AO-rated content on their systems.
Microsoft Corp. has a similar policy, but "Manhunt 2" wasn't planned for its Xbox 360. There are no such restrictions on games for personal computers.
The suspension was the latest setback for creator Rockstar Games, which has come under fire for its popular, critically acclaimed "Grand Theft Auto" series of urban crime games. Take-Two is still dealing with the fallout of a shareholder coup earlier this year that ousted its chief executive and nearly all of its board.
Rockstar and Take-Two have long been a focal point for debate over the effect of video-game violence on children.
Two years ago, Rockstar was forced to replace its first edition of "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" after a hacker discovered a password-protected game inside it that involved a sexual encounter.

Escape asylum, stab nurse, kill prostitutes. Not here you won't, say British censors
· Manhunt 2 is first video game banned in 10 years · Classification board cites 'casual sadism' of sequel
Bobbie Johnson, technology correspondent Wednesday June 20, 2007 The Guardian
In the world of video games, few companies have baited parents and politicians quite like Rockstar.
In Grand Theft Auto, for instance, it created a virtual American city where players assumed the identities of gang members and committed random acts of extreme violence against pimps and prostitutes. All directed from the safety of their bedrooms.
But after years of courting controversy - and earning millions in the process - the company finally fell foul of the censor yesterday. Its latest release, Manhunt 2, was banned amid claims it was an "unrelenting focus on brutal slaying". It is the first video game to be banned in a decade.
Article continues The game, which was due to be released next month, was refused a rating by the British Board of Film Classification, which oversees the age limits for movies and games in the UK. The move makes it illegal for any shop in Britain to sell the title.
Dubbed a "snuff stealth thriller" by one website, the game puts the player in the position of a scientist who has been subjected to a series of terrifying experiments. After being imprisoned in a dark and menacing asylum, the main character escapes and players must help him fight his way to freedom.
It features extended scenes of extreme violence - including a section in a brothel where the main character is encouraged to kill prostitutes using a variety of objects. BBFC director David Cooke said that the game had no redeeming qualities to set against its "sustained and cumulative casual sadism". "Rejecting a work is a very serious action, and one which we do not take lightly," he said. "Where possible we try to consider cuts or modifications which remove the material which contravenes the board's published guidelines. In the case of Manhunt 2 this has not been possible."
Rockstar refused to discuss the decision, but issued a statement in which it rejected the BBFC's claims.
"While we respect the authority of the classification board and will abide by the rules, we emphatically disagree with this particular decision," the company said. "Manhunt 2 is an entertainment experience for fans of psychological thrillers and horror - the subject matter is in line with other mainstream entertainment choices for adult consumers."
The company said that games were treated unfairly in comparison with violent horror films and TV shows, although the BBFC pointed out that Manhunt 2 is the first game it has banned for 10 years.
The last time Rockstar attracted controversy was two years ago, when it was discovered that a secret level inside Grand Theft Auto allowed players to engage in a series of sex games. The revelation led to an embarrassing climb down by the developers, but while it led to the title being temporarily taken off the shelves by some shops, the games industry remained generally supportive of the company.
Yesterday it was struggling to garner any sympathy. Many experts said it had pushed things too far with a game that was clearly intended to cause a media storm.
"A decision from the BBFC such as this demonstrates that we have a games rating system in the UK that is effective," said Paul Jackson, the director general of the games industry body Elspa. "The important thing to know is that all games are rated according to age suitability."
The first Manhunt game also caused controversy, after the parents of a schoolboy murdered in Leicester claimed it was responsible for the death of their son. The family of Stefan Pakeerah said his killer, 17-year-old Warren Leblanc, was addicted to playing Manhunt when he stabbed his victim in February 2004.
Police and prosecutors did not draw a link between the game and Leblanc's attack, but Stefan's mother, Giselle, has kept up her campaign against Rockstar, and yesterday said she was "absolutely elated" by the decision.
News of the ban will come as a crushing blow to Rockstar and its parent company, US-based Take-Two Interactive, which has been hit by financial problems. Take-Two has recently replaced its executive team after serious irregularities emerged in its share dealings, while profits have withered in the absence of a big hit.
If Rockstar does appeal against the decision, the BBFC told the Guardian that it would stand by its verdict, which was the result of extensive testing by half a dozen experts."What we're concerned about is the whole tone of the work corrupting and creating a sense of callousness," said a spokeswoman. "The only thing on offer is going around killing people in the most gruesome ways possible."
Review
In Manhunt 2, the main character, Danny, needs to escape an asylum past guards and other inmates by sticking closely to the shadows. Getting past the guards is fairly straightforward, but soon he comes face to face with one of the other inmates who smacks him in the face. Danny has no option but to beat him to a bloody pulp.
Although Danny professes a fear of violence, he sticks a syringe right into the neck of a nurse who is blocking his escape. Danny also has a friend called Leo who talks him through his escalating spree of ultra-violence to help him out of hospital.
As Danny makes his way out of the hospital he can stick a pen in somebody's eye, or stick a knife or some shards of glass into a victim's neck. When Danny finds a shotgun he can stop sneaking through the shadows and pistol-whip the interns or just shoot them in the face.
Another new feature which Rockstar was keen to show off was "environmental kills". This refers to the ways in which Danny kills using items around him such as toilets, telephone cables or fuse boxes.
It was at this point in the demo that I found myself questioning the point of Manhunt 2. The animations were hilariously over-the-top with gore - I can imagine playing the game for the first time and squealing with perverted delight at how well-executed these moves were.

The Dallas Observer’s Keven McAllester recalled this momentous occasion with a terrific interview with Ellis that appeared some two years ago.
Thirty-five years ago, on June 12, 1970, Pittsburgh Pirate and future Texas Rangers pitcher Dock Ellis found himself in the Los Angeles home of a childhood friend named Al Rambo. Two days earlier, he’d flown with the Pirates to San Diego for a four-game series with the Padres. He immediately rented a car and drove to L.A. to see Rambo and his girlfriend Mitzi. The next 12 hours were a fog of conversation, screwdrivers, marijuana, and, for Ellis, amphetamines. He went to sleep in the early morning, woke up sometime after noon and immediately took a dose of Purple Haze acid. Ellis would frequently drop acid on off days and weekends; he had a room in his basement christened “The Dungeon,” in which he’d lock himself and listen to Jimi Hendrix or Iron Butterfly “for days.”
A bit later, how long exactly he can’t recall, he came across Mitzi flipping through a newspaper. She scanned for a moment, then noticed something.
“Dock,” she said. “You’re supposed to pitch today.”
Ellis focused his mind. No. Friday. He wasn’t pitching until Friday. He was sure.
“Baby,” she replied. “It is Friday. You slept through Thursday.”
Ellis remained calm. The game would start late. Ample time for the acid to wear off. Then it struck him: doubleheader. The Pirates had a doubleheader. And he was pitching the first game. He had four hours to get to San Diego, warm up and pitch. If something didn’t happen in the interim, Dock Philip Ellis, age 25, was about to enter a 50,000-seat stadium and throw a very small ball, very hard, for a very long time, without the benefit of being able to, you know, feel the thing.
Without in any way wishing to diminish Ellis’ accomplishment, the pregame ritual described in detail above, sounds no different than what Marc Perlman goes through before our softball games each Monday evening.
